We offer free delivery to all UK addresses for all purchases over £25. We also offer free local delivery within the Chester area, classed as within 3 miles of our CH3 5HA shop .Please note that the under £25 free local delivery does not include Le Toy Van toys- you must spend £25 in total before such orders qualify for free delivery.
Postage costs for orders are chargeable at a cost of £3.99 where they are below the £25 threshold.
The majority of orders are dispatched using Royal Mail 2nd class postage, which is signed for. Where parcel weight exceeds 2kg, we will use an alternative courier. The majority of our orders will be dispatched right away and be with you within 3-5 working days - please allow up to 2 weeks for orders to be received, particularly at times where the postal service is under strain.
Wherever possible, we will use compostable or biodegradable packaging - we have a strong commitment to being an environmentally friendly company. Most of our suppliers are moving over to this mode as well, but others still use conventional packaging, which we hope can be reused. We are always working with suppliers and feeding back our desire to reduce the environmental impact of our business.
Please ensure that you provide the correct address - if incorrect address provided to us and loss of your goods results, we will be unable to offer a refund or replacement.
Due to the uncertainty surrounding customs charges, we regret that we are currently unable to ship to the non-Uk regions of the EU. We hope that this can resume soon once the process becomes clearer.
Shipping to the US is subject to a £23 charge, any taxes payable at customs are the responsibility of the buyer.
We offer a completely quibble free returns policy for 30 days from receipt of order should you not be delighted with your purchase. Unfortunately, we cannot extend this beyond 30 days. This of course does not affect your statutory rights in relation to faulty or misdescribed goods.
To start your refunds process, please visit https://www.smallecosteps.co.uk/a/returns where you can log in with your order number and email address. You can then select the item(s) to be returned and reason for return. Once submitted, your request will be reviewed within 48 hours. We may decline to accept a return if it has been more than 30 days since you received your item.
Once your return is approved, you will receive an email advising how to return your item. We include a CollectPlus returns label which allows you to drop your parcel off at one of thousands of CollectPlus drop off points - find your nearest here. Returns of faulty or damaged items are free; all other returns are charged at £3.99, which will be deducted from your refund amount.
Items must be returned to us unused and in the same condition that they were received, with original packaging and any tags still in place.
If you prefer to use an alternative method of returning your item, you can do so by sending to 18 Queens Road, Chester, CH3 5HA. Please note that we do not reimburse costs of using your own method of postage; we recommend using a tracked service so that you can make a claim should the parcel not reach us
We try very hard to ensure that adequate information is provided about product sizes as well as the differences in colour between a real life item and the image presented on a screen, of which there are many variations in colour palette, screen adjustment etc. If there is ever anything more that you feel we could have added to an item's description to help you or another customer, please do let us know.
